For Day Four of our Christmas Giveaways, The Sheffield 1000 is proud to support a charity that has been bringing people and music together in Sheffield for decades.

We are delighted to donate £1,000 to Music in the Round, the UK’s leading national producer of chamber music. Since 1984, they have delivered a year-round programme of hundreds of events for people of all ages, using their friendly and informative ‘in the round’ performance style to make music accessible, engaging, and welcoming.

Our Christmas donation will support an exciting project taking place in primary schools across Sheffield next year. The initiative will inspire 7–11 year olds to create their own music, working alongside professional musicians. The project will culminate in the children performing their compositions on the stage of the Crucible Playhouse as part of the Sheffield Chamber Music Festival in May — an unforgettable experience for young performers.
