This month, The Sheffield 1000 are delighted to donate £1000 to St John Fisher Primary School in Hackenthorpe, supporting an exciting project to transform the school’s wildlife area.

The school’s PTFA is working hard to create a safe, engaging and educational outdoor space where children can connect with nature, support their wellbeing and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

Once complete, the wildlife area will give pupils the opportunity to explore biodiversity, learn more about the natural world and take part in hands-on environmental activities. It will provide an inspiring space where children can develop their curiosity and understanding of the environment around them.

Our donation will help provide essential resources for the project, including planting, seating, pathways, sensory features, wildlife habitats and outdoor learning equipment, helping make the space accessible and enjoyable for all pupils.

It’s a project that will benefit the whole school community, creating new opportunities for outdoor education while encouraging environmental responsibility and supporting children’s mental wellbeing for many years to come.

We’re really pleased to help St John Fisher Primary School and its PTFA bring their plans for this fantastic outdoor space to life.
