We wanted to update you as another £1000 has been donated to the local charity ASPIRE!

ASPIRE is a remarkable community enterprise dedicated to creating opportunities for vulnerable and socially excluded individuals. Their mission revolves around recycling IT equipment, repurposing it for resale or reuse, and providing employment opportunities in the process.

The donation received by them from The Sheffield 1000 will be directed towards supporting volunteers. This is a crucial time for the charity, as we are striving to gather the necessary funds required for next year. This timely assistance has been incredibly helpful in sustaining our efforts in the short term.

As General Manager Dave Metcalfe told us, “We’ve decided to use the money towards supporting our volunteers. We’re really scratching to raise the required amount needed for next year and the remainder of this, so this has really saved our bacon in the short term.”
