We recently donated to another fantastic charity called Ben’s Centre for Vulnerable People. Ben’s Centre stands as a sanctuary for those grappling with substance misuse and the associated challenges it brings. Nestled in the heart of Sheffield, this charity extends a compassionate hand through our city centre outreach service and welcoming day centre at 22 Wilkinson Street. Unique in its approach, their centre operates as a ‘damp centre,’ allowing clients to seek refuge while under the influence, provided no substances are brought on-site.

As the only damp centre in Sheffield and its vicinity, they strive to offer support and solace to those in need. With services that aim to uplift the vulnerable, ensuring they have access to basic necessities and a supportive community.

Donald Beedham, Marketing and Communications Officer, shares his gratitude: “We are so pleased to be chosen for this donation from The Sheffield 1000. This will contribute towards our core running costs for the day centre, ensuring that we can continue to provide hot food, support, and shelter to our vulnerable clients five days a week.”
