We are happy to announce that Furnival has received its second donation, continuing its mission to engage with the local community in Burngreave and surrounding areas. Since launching their flagship Creative English programme in 2017, they have worked with over 600 women and children from diverse backgrounds, building language confidence and understanding of daily life in a new country through various activities.

Julie D’Souza Walsh, Projects and Developments Manager, expressed her gratitude:

“Thank you so much for choosing us again! We are very grateful as it will make a big difference to us. We will use the donation towards running our Welcome Space for the community, where we run our well-being activities, cook and share meals, and distribute food supplies for families in the community.”

The donation will support the continued growth of the programme, which aims to offer a warm welcome and support for newly-arrived migrant women, helping them to make connections, grow in confidence, and build the skills needed to support their families.
