Hi!

Times are hard for lots of people around the region, but many communities are doing their best to help others, and none more so than our local food banks. Our recent £1000 donation was given to the S12 Community Kitchen.

They are a community hub providing food, company and advice. A group of volunteers have come together to ease food poverty in their area by having a social cafe, food surplus and just meals available cheaply.

“We are thrilled to be nominated for this funding and we will be using it towards our Christmas appeal. We are working with two schools (Arbourthorne and Rainbow Forge) to provide their most in need families with a Christmas food hamper and also gifts for the children . Last year it was a roaring success and the messages received from the families were both heartwarming and heartbreaking.”

This is an example of how important your £1 donation can be, your donations can save lives and help people from going hungry. We have the best local people in the country, and donations and charities like this really show Sheffield at its best.
