Roundabout

28 August 2026

This month, The Sheffield 1000 are proud to donate £1000 to Roundabout, a South Yorkshire charity supporting young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Roundabout currently supports more than 400 young people every day, providing much more than a safe place to stay. Their services include access to education, employment and training, life skills, counselling, mediation and tenancy support – helping young people get back on their feet and move towards independent living.
Prevention is also a vital part of their work. Roundabout’s mediation service works with young people and families in crisis to help prevent homelessness before it happens, while their hostels and Group Living properties provide safe accommodation for those who need it.

At the heart of everything they do is a simple belief: no young person should be left behind.
Our donation will help fund 22 counselling sessions for young people facing homelessness, giving them quicker access to vital mental health support without facing lengthy waiting lists. These sessions can provide an important step towards rebuilding confidence, overcoming challenges and looking towards a brighter future.

We’re delighted to support Roundabout and the incredible work they do for young people across South Yorkshire.
