This month, The Sheffield 1000 are proud to donate £1000 to Lenny’s Legacy, a charity founded in loving memory of two sons, Lenny and Bhai.

Lenny’s Legacy supports parents who have experienced the devastating loss of a child at any age or stage, including during pregnancy. Their work is built on the belief that bringing people together with shared experiences can provide comfort, understanding and strength during the most difficult times.

They offer a range of free support, including monthly groups, wellbeing sessions such as postpartum pilates, and community events, creating safe spaces where bereaved parents can connect and feel less alone. Alongside this, they also provide training for professionals, helping to improve how support is offered more widely.

Our donation will support a new and vital service — Walk and Talk sessions. These one-to-one sessions will take place outdoors in local parks, offering gentle, early support for parents in the first weeks after loss. This simple but powerful approach provides space to talk, reflect and begin to process grief in a supportive and compassionate setting.
