Hi it’s The Sheffield 1000 again!

Just a quick update to let you know we have recently made donation this month to another worthy organisation in Sheffield.

This time the £1000 was given to Food Works. This organisation had the fantastic idea to upcycle quality surplus and locally grown ingredients into delicious food and drink in their kitchen! Hot meals, barista coffees, cakes and pastries are available daily on a Pay What You Can Afford basis with a minimum contribution of £1.00. ‘Just Meals’ are available at all of their Food Hubs. They collect and share surplus food at their market and develop hyperlocal food production through community growing on their farm.

They are planning to use their £1000 to support their free children’s meals programme over the summer.

Our community really does amaze us with their innovate ideas on how they can help their local area.
