By supporting vulnerable individuals – whether elderly, facing health challenges, or experiencing financial hardship – Westwood offers a lifeline through mentorship, training, advocacy, and a variety of community-focused activities. Exciting news recently came from trustee Dave Fairbank: “I’m thrilled to find out that we have been nominated and selected to receive a £1000 donation! As a small charity, every contribution helps us achieve our goals.”

This donation will fund an innovative new project inspired by the South Yorkshire riots. Over four sessions, the project will celebrate cultural diversity in partnership with international students from The Sheffield College. Through social events showcasing food, music, personal stories, and videos of everyday life, Westwood aims to build cultural bridges and foster understanding within and beyond the local community.
Past events like the Christmas Cheer celebration, Teddy Bears Picnic, and Intergenerational Playgroup highlight Westwood’s creativity and dedication. This new project promises to continue their tradition of making a meaningful impact.
